Advisory:
This committee represents respected leaders in our community who assist us with strategy development and are advisors to the Eugene Coalition for Better School Food.

Steering:
The Steering Committee is made up of of a select number of individuals who have a strong desire to support the group and time available to dedicate to leading the efforts of the Coalition. This group is able to make executive decisions for ECBSF when they are needed which allows us to move quickly on certain tasks. We have a need for a Historian who will document the history of this quickly growing community organization.

Outreach:
The Outreach committee is responsible for reaching out to others in the community to build awareness of our group, gain support of our mission and goals, and to plan and/or participate in community events that are tied to our cause of healthy food for our children.  If you like to meet people and talk to them about school issues then this is the place for you!   We are in special need of individuals who are willing to share their marketing design skills with us for the creation of online and print materials.

Research:
The research committee is able to find answers to the questions we have and document the information we find out on many issues such as; federal school funding, school nutrition guidelines, and what other communities are doing to improve the food given to their children and much more.   If you like research then this is the place for you!

Education:
We are in the process of forming an Education Committee and are seeking individuals who have in interest in education,  nutrition and event planning.   Please help us provide educational opportunities to children, parents and our community.

Child Nutrition Advocacy:
We would like to work with the community to create a Child Nutrition Advocacy Committee that would be similar to the district’s Wellness Committee that existed for a short term and then disbanded.   This committee would advise the school board on child nutrition and work to makes sure that our school district is doing the best we can for our children when it comes to nutrition.   Please let us know if you are interested in this committee.  This committee will include only a few select members who are comfortable working with the school board, documenting information and making recommendations.
